Telangiectasia/Thread Veins

Facial red veins present as a permanent dilation of capillaries visible under the epidermis. Also known as 'broken capillaires', they are usually found on more exposed areas of the skin like the nose, cheeks and chin.

Spider Naevi

Another form of Telangiectasia, can be successfully treated with diathermy.

Fibroepithelial Polyps (Skin Tags)

Skin Tags are benign, innocuous growths of epithelial tissue which vary in size, shape and attachment. Primarily occurring in areas of friction.

Campbell De Morgan/Cherry Angioma (Blood Spots)

Harmles vascular blemishes that vary in size from very small to raised dome shaped lumps.

Milia

Commonly and incorrectly referred to as whiteheads are tiny, white, raised blemishes, usually occurring on the face.

Seborhoeic Keratosis

Seborrhoeic keratoses (seb K), are benign (harmless) growths caused by a build-up of skin cells. They cannot turn into skin cancer.

Seb K are extremely common; almost everyone older than 50 has at least one, some people have many more.

Xanthelasma Palpebrarum

Xanthelasma Palpebrarum are blemishes caused by deposits of cholestrerol under the surface of the skin and normally found on the eyelids.

Age Spots/Pigmentation

Age spots (also known as solar lentigo, liver spots, sun spots) are changes in skin colour associated with older skin. They're harmless, macular, brown discolourations which usually appear on the backs of the hands, neck and face and are a sign of sun damage.

Warts vary in size, shape and location and the treatment required will vary depending on the type of epithelium affected.

Dermatosis papulosa nigra is a common, symptomless condition consisting of one or many small, firm, black or dark brown papular skin lesions (1-5mm), on the face and upper body.

Please note that I do not remove any moles, I successfully reduce raised moles. All moles need to be screened before treatment and given a healthy mole pass. We will start with a full consultation during which a mole screening will take place checking the mole is healthy before treatment can take place.
